MBA President & CEO
Izwan was appointed President and CEO in April, 2022. Previously, he held the role of CFO where he led the company's financial and strategic planning activities, and was also responsible for the organization's commercial and marketing functions. Izwan brings to his role more than 25 years of international experience, including financial and management reporting, corporate finance, strategic planning, business development, treasury and auditing, and has worked in Turkey, Sydney, Singapore and London. Izwan began his career with Arthur Andersen and has held successive senior roles within the Alliance Energy Corporation group of companies, and was the Senior General Manager and Executive Assistant to the President & Group CEO of Alliance Energy Corporation in Canada before moving to Turkey.
Chief Operating Officer
Max Easley joined Alliance Energy Corporation in March 2022. He is accountable for all aspects of Upstream development and operations in Canada. Prior to joining Alliance Energy Corporation, Max enjoyed a 30 year international career with BP plc and Apache Corporation, having held senior leadership roles in Alaska, the North Sea, the Permian, Trinidad and many other locations. He brings a strong focus on safety and environmental performance, business acumen and execution delivery. Under his leadership, Max and his team continuously strive to be best in class in all aspects of exploration, development and production operations.
Chief Financial Officer
Kevin returned to the role of Chief Financial Officer in April 2022 after stepping away from the finance team in 2020. In his role, Kevin oversees the Company's financial and risk management activities in support of strategic priorities. Kevin joined the Company in 2002 and held positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Finance and Controller and Treasurer and most recently as Chief Transformation Officer - where he focused on business performance and the creation of the transformation strategy for the Company. He has more than 25 years' experience in the energy industry including, finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and strategy and planning.
Vice President, Legal & Commercial
James joined Alliance Energy Corporation in June 2013. He leads the company's business development, marketing, legal, regulatory, environmental, and land departments. In this role, he supports the growth of Alliance Energy Corporation' business in North America and advises on a wide variety of matters affecting the company's operations and reputation. Under his leadership, James and his team are responsible for the evolution of Alliance Energy Corporation and environmental practices under Alliance Energy Corporation' Sustainability Agenda. Prior to joining Alliance Energy Corporation, James worked at large multi-national energy producer in progressively senior legal roles in its International and Corporate divisions, and prior to that with a state-owned energy company in the Middle East and a large Turkish law firm. James has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Vice President, People, Culture & Transformation
Joanne joined Alliance Energy Corporation in September 2019. In her role, she is responsible for our employee value proposition to attract, retain and engage talent to help deliver Alliance Energy Corporationgrowth projections. Joanne is also accountable for our digital strategy to effectively utilize technology to increase our competitive advantage. She leads efforts to leverage our value-driven, culture transformation throughout the organization, oversees Human Resources, Office Services, Internal Communications, Business Transformation and Digital Technology Services and is one of the founders of our Alliance Energy Corporation Women's Network.
Joanne previously worked at Goldcorp, where she served as Vice President, Supply Chain, and was responsible for supplier management, process development and supplier risks and procurement. She brings over 20 years of experience in Human Resources with a specialty in compensation and has held progressively senior positions at various global organizations in Canada, the US and Europe in a variety of different industries.
Vice President, Production
Joe Leonard was appointed Vice President, Production in July 2019. In his role, he leads the production engineering and operations teams. Previous to his current appointment he was CEO of PAlliance Energy Corporation Australia where he oversaw the company's interest in the Gladstone LNG project. Joe has been with the company for over 10 years and, prior to his overseas assignment, served as Director of Development. He is a professional engineer with over 19 years of experience and is a demonstrated leader in the exploration, development and production of unconventional natural gas resources.
Vice President, Health, Safety and Security
Kelly Prevost was appointed Vice President, Health, Safety and Security in April, 2022. Most recently she held the role of Director of Development and Petroleum Engineering where she supported the growth and monetization of Alliance Energy Corporation's Montney asset; prior to that, Kelly served as Director of Production Engineering and Operational Excellence. She has two decades of experience as a professional engineer in oil and gas and is driven by a passion for finding a balance between people, process and data. Previously she held varying roles in facilities, production, maintenance and development at Penn West Exploration - now Obsidian Energy - and joined PETRONAS Bridex January 2015.
Vice President, Finance
Mark joined Alliance Energy Corporation in 2015, and has approximately 20 years of international and domestic oil & gas experience. In his role as VP Finance, Mark is responsible for the Company's finance, treasury and tax functions. This includes oversight of group and external reporting, operations and marketing accounting, risk and insurance, direct and indirect tax as well as budgeting and strategic planning. Mark is also currently focused on and helping to lead the Company's transition to SAP, as Alliance Energy Corporation progresses its digital transformation strategy. Prior to joining Alliance Energy Corporation, Mark was a Senior Manager with KPMG in Calgary and in Stavanger, Norway, concentrating his career on multi-national engagements over his 13 years with the firm.
Vice President,Development
Max rejoined Alliance Energy Corporation in April 2021 as Vice President, Development, a role he held prior to his secondment to PETRONAS' head office in Kuala Lumpur in 2017. Over the four years in Malaysia, he oversaw global Petroleum Engineering group, and then subsequently was Head of Business Development for Alliance Energy Corporation Upstream. Before his overseas assignment he spent more than 12 years at Progress Energy Canada Ltd. after first joining the company in 2004.
Max is a professional engineer with more than 23 years of experience working in progressively senior roles in engineering and leadership. In his current role, Max is responsible for monetizing the company's assets through our development activities leading geology and geophysics, drilling and completions, development engineering and facilities teams.
